Sewing Machine and Teething Biscuits!

I just took this tonight because I thought it was hilarous...
he rolled over before I got it off his head!

Ok, let me explain: Mom and I have completely lost our
minds and started making clothes for Kaylie (Mom used to
make all my clothes when I was little) the past few days!
This is just one piece of the hat...we put it on her head to make sure it
would fit her big noggin!

And these are the bloomers...she looks like
an easter egg!

Brother checkin out his teething biscuit... check out his two
little chompers!:)

Not real sure what to do with it!

" oh that's what you do with it"

Just a short post of pics...we finished Kaylie's first outfit yesterday but haven't gotten a picture of her in it yet... but as soon as we do I will definitely post it! Gotta get back to the drawing board... more patterns to cut!! OK, seriously I am turning into my mother....aaaaaaahhhhhh!

Hungry Girl

I have a pretty cute, funny story... This morning I was feeding Parker on the couch while Kaylie played on the floor... well Miss Priss gets mad if she sees a bottle and she's not the one being fed. She saw me feeding Parker (who was almost done) and started freaking out... I know she was hungry, but girlfriend needs to learn some patience..haha. Anyways, so I put Parker down on the ground next to her and put the bottle (it had 2 oz of formula left) in between them for a second so I could go fix her bottle. Apparently there was no need to fix her own... before I know it she is rolled half way over grabbing the bottle and putting it in her mouth!! She preceded to feed herself the 2 oz that were left in his bottle!! I almost died laughing so hard... you talk about a girl with a strong will!:) It was one of those moments where I wish I would've had the video camera there and ready... the picture above is all the proof I have!!

Berger Family Reunion Pictures

Buddy after a VERY tiring day in the country...haha!

The view from the house.... so nice to wake up to
in the morning!

Cody and I hanging out (kids were sleeping:))

My sweet little boy looks like a grown man:(

Aunt Gayle and Parker

Cousin Bless with Miss Priss!

Aunt Rae, Cousin Ash and Parker!

Momo with her great-grandson!

Pretty typical spot for me this weekend... trying to get
Kaylie to nap!

Like father like son... love this picture!

Buddy's first time in the country!!

We stopped in Hearne on the way to Gause to see
Doris for a few hours... she is a longtime family friend
of Cody's family!

This weekend we loaded up the kids and went to Gause, TX (right outside of Hearne, TX which is right outside of Bryan, TX...haha!) for a famliy reunion. The reunion was at Ray (Cody's mom's cousin) and Molly's farm. It was out in the country and so much fun... It was the kids first time out in the wilderness and they loved it! We put the jumperoo out on the porch and Kaylie had a blast (when she wasn't being fussy from lack of sleep and teething..aaaahhhhh!) Parker was just as content as could be... as usual:) Cody did some fishing and I did some reading (which I never get to do at home because there are a million other things for me to do!) Oh yeah and don't let me forget about little Buddy... it was the first time our "city" dog had been in the country...haha... he was the only dog that was on a leash...Poor Bud! We didn't want to take the chance of him running off! Well, I am gonna keep this short and head to bed...we are beat!!

Teething!?!

Kaylie has been drooling like crazy for a few months now and Parker just started really bad about 3 weeks ago.... I figured they were teething, although neither one was overly-fussy or anything... So this morning when Parker woke up from his morning nap (he was smiling of course and showing all gums!) I noticed something white coming through his gums... HE HAS 2 TEETH COMING IN on the bottom!!! They are about 1/4 the way up:) I had never noticed before and I check every few days! My little man is growing up too fast:( I checked Kaylie for teeth, but there are none yet... I give her a week and one may break through! I can't wait to see that big ole smile with 2 little teeth...hahaha!

Well, I just had to 'journal' that so when I am 50 and the kids ask me who had teeth first I will remember...LOL! (ok, maybe not 50, but 35..haha!)

Being a Stay At Home MOM.....

Sister in her new car seat... their other seats
are getting to heavy and these seats give
Cody and I an extra 2 inches (doesn't sound like
alot, but it is..haha) in the front... so now my knees
don't touch the dash:)

Seriously...this kid is happy about EVERYTHING!

I love this picture of Kaylie... maybe its
because its the ONLY one I have of her
actually doing a whole smile:) (Please excuse
the blue stained bib...hahahaha!)

.....means I am constantly up doing something. It goes kind of like this... wake up, change diapers, play with kiddos, feed babies, wash bottles, throw in a load of laundry, start baby einstein (haha), unload dish washer, pick sister up because she is getting bored of Einstein, put her in jumperoo (brother still glued to TV), give Buddy food, switch clothes from washer to dryer, fold clothes that were in dryer from the night before, put kids down for their first nap (hopefully at the same time), either lay down for 15 minutes or take shower while I have an hour to myself.... so basically you get the point, I NEVER sit down... BUT I will say, I wouldn't change it for anything! I love being able to see my sweet angels grow up before my eyes... Its so amazing to see how fast they develop and learn things!!

There is one thing that I would change though...having to do LAUNDRY!!! Its never-ending! I mean I feel like I wash the same pajamas every single day... and bibs, yeah we go through about 15 a day, I could do a load of bibs and burp clothes everyday! I knew I should have listened to my dad when I was younger... he used to always say he did a load of towels a day and would get onto me and Will for using it once and throwing it on the floor...opps... now I know how he felt!

Well, today I started about 10 projects around the house (organizing clothes, cleaning play room, organizing kitchen cabinets, 6 loads of laundry, etc.) and the house looks like a bomb hit, so I better get to picking up!

Two Griswald Vacations, One Weekend!!

When I say Griswald Vacation... I mean GRISWALD vacation!!! And not only one but TWO... Sooooo... I will start with Cody's Griswald vacation first:

So this weekend Cody went with his friend Micah to his ranch near Buffalo,Tx. They were going out there to get everything cleaned up and ready for deer season. Here's the short version of a long story... they get out there put their stuff in the house, then come back out to try out some new gun Micah had...so Cody shots the gun out towards the woods and Micah's dog (who he has had for 7 years) takes off sprinting into the woods...he's GONE! Micah had shot the gun 5000 times in front of him so it was very uncharacteristic of him. they go back to the house to get their stuff to go look for him and the door was locked... so now they have a dog missing and the key to the house was IN the house! (side note: they had only been there for an hour!!) They go looking for the dog while at the same time trying to call a locksmith to get into the house... NO LUCK on either one... they didn't want to pay the $150 to get a locksmith so they had to drive to Huntsville to meet Micah's dad to get a key.... they get back to the ranch about 9pm and still no dog... They looked all night and never found him... They were both sick to their stomachs. The next morning its pouring down rain but they decided to go look for the dog anyways... they jumped the fence to the property next to Micah's and within 20 mins they FOUND HIM!!! He was laying on the porch of the house on that property! :) Anyways, they decided just to head back to Dallas since it was raining because they really couldn't do much outside... As they drove up I-45 they noticed a car overturned in the ditch with no one helping... being the good men they are, they stopped to help! They get down by the car and realized that there want anyone in there... now for the best part... THEY GOT STUCK IN THE MUD!!!! Micah has a big truck and they were stuck, no getting out! State troopers showed up to see what they were doing... anyways they had one lane of I-45 shut down for an hour before they finally got the truck out!! Needless to say... total Griswald vacation!!

Here are some picture from my Griswald vacation...my story is after the pics!

Sweet babies playing on Uncle Will's bed:)

Kaylie loves her uncle!

And this is how we slept... Kaylie in the multicolored
crib, Parker in the green one and me on the bed:)

Buddy hanging out with Uncle Will

Will's living room!

My sweet girl and me!

Buddy took over the passenger seat when Mimi
got moved to the back!

This is the look of two people who have absolutely
lost their minds:) (If this picture had audio you would
hear two screaming, starving babies!!!)

Uncle Will and Parker at 10:30pm... Brother woke up
from all the noise:(

Will, Anna (his girlfriend) and Parker!

Buddy and Will at the tennis courts.

The most precious sweet little man sleepin on my
lap during Uncle Will's match!

My sweet girl with her Uncle after he won!

Me being silly with Parker!

Mimi under the tree with sister... finally got her
to sleep!

Ok, now for my Griswald story:
Let me preface by saying that Will lives in a 500 sq ft. apartment... so we had Will, Anna (his gf), Mom, me, Kaylie, Parker, and Buddy crammed in! You can hear EVERYTHING, so needless to say they kids woke up 5 times last night!
Mom and I took the babies and Buddy to see Will play in his conference tennis tournament in Abilene... On the way down there everything went smooth, the babies slept the entire time... so when we got to Will's apartment they were both in great moods... They did good during Will's match (they both slept) and we brought Buddy so he was trying to do everything BUT sit down during the match! After the match we went back to Will's apartment and fed the babies... they were soooo off schedule that they were ready to go to bed at 5:30...the only problem was they were not in THEIR beds and it took them an hour and a half of screaming their heads off until they actually fell asleep... Mom was there alone during that time because Will and I went to Wal-Mart...needless to say we bought mom a bottle of wine to ease her nerves!!:) The kids didn't sleep good at all... really none of us did, including Buddy! So we got up early this morning and headed back to Dallas during the kids nap time so they would sleep the whole time... well that's what I thought anyways...haha! We left Abilene about 8 this morning... Kaylie started to wake up about 10:30 and got EXTREMELY fussy...I smelt something stinky...we pulled over at the truck stop to check it out... it wasn't her! But I took her out of the car for a minute to get some fresh air! Anyways as we are driving down the road i smell something stinky again... come to find out...it was Buddy pootin!!! hahaha... So we are getting into Fort Worth, both kids screaming for a bottle, mom and I about to go nuts...when all of the sudden there are flashing lights behind me... Crap!!! Here is my convo with Officer Black:

Officer: Hi Mam! Do you have your insurance and driver's license?

Me: Yes Sir, here it is!

Officer: Ms. Davis (that's whats on my DL), do you know that you were going 83 in a 60?

Me: Oh really!?! I'm sorry officer (while Buddy is barking at him), but I am really annoyed right now, I have 2 hungry kids in the back and I am just trying to get home!

Officer: (still at the window checking my info, smiling) Well, it's your lucky day... it's been a rarity lately for someone to have all their info up to date and correct, so I am gonna let you go. Please be careful mam!

And just like that we were on our way!:) There ARE nice policemen out there!! So by this time the kids were starving... Mom had to climb in the back and make bottles for them... I think she had more formula on her pants then she actually put in the bottle! haha... We should have thought to put her back there 2 hours prior, but we were doing a crossword puzzle out of the Abilene newspaper (that's another story in itself..haha!) it was all about Texas and it was hilarious!
So, by the time we got home we were EXHAUSTED!!! With that said...its bed time for me:)

Rainy Day!

This is what you get when you have 2 rollin' babies...
They love 'talking' to eachother:) So sweet

Buddy in the toy corner!!
Today it rained the entire day, which was good because the yard needed it but bad because that meant the kids and I were stuck in the house ALL day long! We love to go outside and 'play' or go on walks so being stuck in the house all day was terrible... especially when you have a daughter who decided she didn't want to take a nap:(
Anyways, tomorrow mom and I are taking the kids to Abilene to see Uncle Will play tennis...they are hosting their conference tourney so we are going down to cheer them on!! The hilarious thing is... Will lives in a 500sq ft 1 bedroom apt with his girlfriend... which means it will be Me, Mom, Will, Anna (his gf), Kaylie, Parker and our dog Buddy! haha... I am bringing the video camera because I have a good feeling this is going to be a Griswold vacation..LOL! I will have plenty of pics to post when we get back on Sunday:)

Nothing much...

Sterling and I (I started babysitting her when she
was 2 and now she's 8... dang I'm getting old!!)

Hannah and Parker...(She was 9 months old when
I started babysitting them and now she is 6! Holy cow!)

Ali with the babies... I remember taking Hannah and
Sterling to the hospital right after Jean Marie had Ali!

These pictures are from this weekend when we went to play with the girls... they were having a blast with the babies! Before long Sterling will be babysitting Parker and Kaylie:)

I really have nothing special to report other then the fact that the weather is beautiful and the kids LOVE being outside so we are doing great! Oh yeah, and we have a one tummy sleeper and one thumb sucker.... Parker now flips on his belly on in his crib and sleeps like a rock on his belly... and Kaylie now sucks her thumb when she is totally worn out!

I'm distracted by American Idol... haha...write more tomorrow:)

Happy Easter: 6 month picture update!

Yesterday mom and I took the kids (and Braeden...one of the little boys I used to nanny) down to play at Jean Marie's house with her girls... While we were there she wanted to play around in her studio and take some pics of the kiddos... Kaylie wasn't having any part of it so she went to Hannah's room to take a nap while Parker took the cutest picture! (He serioulsy is the most photgenic kid on the earth...so precious!)... When Kaylie woke up JM took some pictures of her in Hannah's bed, so we got a few really cute ones of her!

Anyways, Hope everyone has a HAPPY EASTER!
Enjoy the pics:)

Braeden and Ali (I can see my future
in this pic...in 3 years that will be Kaylie
and Parker!!)
