Our Own "Fresh Beat Band"

Kaylie and Parker are OBSESSED with the show "Fresh Beat Band", so for Christmas Santa brought Parker a drum set and Uncle Will bought them a keyboard and microphone! Parker plays the "boom booms" (as he calls them) and Kaylie sings "I special" on the mic and plays the keyboard.

End of 2010

Yes, I know it's been almost 2 months since I last updated and TONS has happened since then... I figured since we have about 11 hours left in 2010, I better squeeze one last blog post in before 2011:)

Let's see:
-We celebrated Thanksgiving in Bryan and the kids had a blast playing with all their cousins. While we were there I noticed that the kids were starting to out grow their pack-n-plays which meant that the next time we went to Bryan, we were going to have to have them transitioned to toddler beds!!!
- So toddler beds it was!! We transitioned them the first week of December... The first attempt at getting them to actually stay in bed was a NIGHTMARE!! (Granted, I have a gate in front of their door so they can't really go anywhere) Naps were pretty much nonexistant the first week, but bed time was relatively easy. I had to take EVERY SINGLE THING out of their room, because they were staying up and playing and destroying it all....haha! They have been in their toddler beds for close to a month now and they LOVE them! They seriously think they are too cool being able to climb in and out of their beds all by themselves!
-They have also really been enjoying school.... They had their Christmas Program on December 7th... their class song was Jingle Bells and Sis would walk around ALL DAY singing it! Parker could have cared less about it...haha! They did so good during the program... sat up on stage and rang their jingle bells and clapped for themselves!:)
- Santa came to our house about a week early this year... Parker got a drumset (yes, I know I am crazy... but he LOVES it and I would rather hear beating then crying...haha) and Kaylie got a dollhouse. Uncle Will also go them a keyboard and microphone... so needless to say it is LOUD in our house, but they love it, so I could careless:)
- Oh yeah, and Santa got Cody and I a Ford Expedition!!! Ok, well we actually bought it had been shopping for a few weeks, but I am SOOOOO happy that we finally have a car that we fit comfortably in:)
-We went to Bryan to celebrate Christmas and the kids had a blast getting new gifts and seeing all the Christmas lights!

It blows my mind that it's New Year's Eve again... where did 2010 go!?! I am so excited to see what 2011 will bring:) The one thing I'm not looking forward to in 2011......POTTY TRAINING! But I will worry about when it gets here...haha!

First Day of Preschooltighter

Brudder and Sissy walking out
to the car ready for school!

Brudder is really excited... if only
he knew at this point that momma
was about to drop him off!! haha

Last bit of The Fresh Beat Band before
school starts!

My big school boy!

Sissy with her nap mat and back-
pack, ready to go!

My big school girl!

Yes, she is OBSESSED with that paci...
hopefully she gives it up before 6th grade!

Parker "carrying" his nap mat
all by himself! He thought he was such
a big helper!
OMG... I can't believe my babies started preschool this morning! Besides Parker screaming bloodly murder when we dropped him off, everything went pretty smooth:) Kaylie ,of course, ran in and made 5 new friends instantly!! Cody went with me to drop them off and pick them up....I think he was more nervous than I was! I ran out of that room faster than you could blink... I know once I looked back and saw Parker screaming I would feel bad, so I just kept walking right on out to the car:) When we picked him up at 2 his teachers said he totally calmed down and had a great day!! That's what momma likes to hear!
They got these sheets in their folders that tell how their day went... I am really thinking they have my kid mixed up with someone else...haha! Both of them said they sat and a circle and sang songs...and actually slept on their nap mats.... hmmmm! I wish I was a fly on the wall to see if it actually happened. I was a little nervous about them having to sleep on the nap mats because they have never slept anywhere other than their cribs. I mean they see me making them ALL THE TIME, but they have never actually used one before. Apparently, Parker took a 45 minute nap and Kaylie, well, she just wanted to play! She "rested" for 20 minutes!
So overall I would say it was a pretty successful first day of preschool! Oh yeah, and you must be wondering "Sarah, what on earth did you do on your free time??" Lets see... did 5 loads of laundry, went to best buy for 400 millionth time trying to get the computer fixed, went to the bank, TRIED to organize the sewing room, and went to lunch with Cody at Kobe Steak house! No there was no sitting on the couch eating bon bons playing on Facebook!! Haha. Although, Thursday will be here before I know it... so it may be a possibility:)

My New Toy!!!

This is what has been taking up all my time (hence, no blogging!!)...

(Viking Topaz 30)
Mom and I decided that it was time to get our own embroidery machine! This machine does EVERYTHING... It's awesome! I still can't believe we have it:) So basically now, Kaylie and Parker's names will be on everything they own and anyone who is getting married or having a baby will be getting something monogramed haha:)
Anyways, my computer got the blue screen of death, so it's at best buy (hopefully getting fixed). Once I get it back I will update pics from our trip to Houston a few weekends ago! I know yall are dying to see pics of the kiddos...who by the way, will be 2 years old in 6 weeks....aaaaahhhh!

22 Months!!

Holy Moly... I can't believe I am starting to plan a two year old birthday party! Where in the world has the time gone!?! It really is amazing how time flies and how Kaylie and Parker are changing so much every single day. I haven't posted much about what they are doing now, so I will start with that: (Let me apologize in advance for no pics!)

Parker~
-LOVES to draw... I mean he seriously draws these really small circles all over the page (or white board)
-He is OCD about EVERYTHING...way too many things to list!
- Has started with the terrible two tantrums...Not fun!!
- He says Elmo no less then 100 times a day
- He loves to be on the go (wonder where he got that from..haha)
- He is obsessed with being outside and playing in the splash table.

Kaylie~
-STILL obsessed with her blanket and paci (I really hope she isn't 12 and still sucking a paci..haha)
-LOVES LOVES LOVES to stack blocks as high as she can.
-She is finally showing interest in playing with her dolls (talking to them, feeding them, etc.)
-She HATES getting in the car (just started about a week ago.. not sure why)
-She is a tomboy (apple doesn't fall far from the tree..haha)
-She talks non-stop!! Her and Parker have full on conversations... in their twin language!

Oh yeah, and we are FINALLY on one long nap..... 11:30-2!

I am sure there is so much more, but being that it's midnight and I have been sewing for 3 weeks straight I can't think! We are slammed with nap mat orders so the blog has been neglected, but I promise to try and keep it up better then I have been:)

My Trash Men:)

This may be the best pic of all time!!!! Cody taking the trash out
so Parker had to get him a little bag to walk out to the dump! haha

Anyone who has been around Parker knows that he is OBSESSED and I mean OOOBBBBBSSSSEESSEEDDD with taking the trash out.... I'm almost thinking he needs to go to therapy for his OCD-ness...haha! He will walk around the house trying to find trash to put in the trash can... he wakes up saying trash...anytime we change a diaper if you don't let him take the diaper to the trash he FREAKS OUT! I guess the good news in all of this is that I don't ever have to worry about his room being dirty, or the house for that matter:)
