We're Here!!

Sorry I have no pictures for this post, but we made it to Florida in one piece:) And surprisingly enough, Kaylie and Parker were perfect on the plane!! When we walked onto the plane you could just see the looks on the peoples faces, like "I hope they don't sit next to me with those two babies"...hahahahaha! Kaylie had the "Emergency card" (thing in the back of the seat pocket) ripped up before we even took off... but she was happy, so I could have cared less!! Both of them took about 45 min naps, which was nice because the flight was only 2 hours!

Just wanted to send a quick update... but I will write more tomorrow... we go to the beach house in the morning... oh and pics will have to come when we get back because I don't have my laptop with me:( But don't worry there will be more then you probably want to see!!

they really think someone is going to dive in a "pool"

that is 1/2 inch deep!?! haha

While we were out of town this weekend Mimi took the kids to Wal-Mart and bought them their first "pool"... it's literally a piece of plastic with a tube around it to keep the water in... the kids LOVE IT!! I mean they could sit out there all day... too bad its 102 degrees everyday, and there isn't enough room for me, so we only stay in about 20 mins!

Also, Parker is now crawling which means now he is trying to pull up on everything... tonight I heard him screaming his head off about 15 mins after I put him down (which he never does)... so I go in and check on him... he is standing in his crib against the railing and doesn't know how to get down, so I laid him back down and walked out! After repeating that process THREE TIMES he finally decided to fall asleep :) Kaylie lays down and she is knocked out within 2 mins!!

Now that everyone is asleep (ok, they have been asleep for 2 hours!) I need to get off this computer and start packing for our trip to Florida Friday!

Going to Daycare...

... NO, not Kaylie and Parker! Buddy (our dog) is going to try out a half day of daycare tomorrow... poor little Bud has been so sad lately because he doesn't get the attention he wants (believe me, he gets plenty of attention, he just wants more). So I went and checked out the doggie daycare today and I think he will love it! He will be completely exhausted when he comes home tomorrow:) We are basically just trying out to do a few days next week when we are in Florida and for random other times when he gets bored! Can you say SPOLIED!?!

We have a......

CRAWLER!!! (Just one!) Parker started crawling while Cody and I were out of town this weekend... Mom was here watching the kiddos...It is the most adorable thing watching him crawl all over the house! Ok, well maybe not fun having to chase him around, but just seeing that little guy get around is hilarious... Kaylie just sits and looks at him, just wishing she could get into stuff like he does! He is obessessed with pulling the DVD's off of the shelf, getting into the dog food bowl, and trying to pull up on our make-shift coffee table (It's a huge tupperware container...haha.. only because we had to get rid of the sharp-edged, glass top one we had and haven't had the time to get a new one yet!)

Anyways, I will try and put the video footage of it on here! And, I will add more pics later tonight or tomorrow... gotta go get the kids!

On Wednesday Cody and I went and celebrated our 1st anniversary at Reunion tower... about 4 months ago Wolfgang Puck opened a new restaurant there! Can I just say... the food was GREAT! We had sushi to start (Cody's first time... he's addicted now!!) then I got halibut and Cody got a chicken dish...not only was the food great, but the view was amazing!

Well, I gotta run... Cody and I are driving to Bryan today (Mom is staying here and watching the babies for the weekend!) so I gotta go pack and get everything ready!

So, there they are not too bad for our first "at home" photo shoot! Anyways, on to our summer vaca plans... We leave in 10 DAYS for Florida! I can't wait to take the kids to the beach for the first time. They love being outside and love water, so I am assuming they will love it:) I don't even want to begin to think about all the junk I am going to have to pack for a 10 ady vacation with 8 1/2 month old twins...haha! (should be pretty comical)

Also, a month from todayParker and I are going to fly to Denver to see Jason and Cossey (Andrea) then we are driving to Aspen for the weekend to stay with Jean Marie and her girls. They have a house up in the mountains... I can't wait to see it!! OK, so you may be wondering to yourself... "Why are you taking Parker?" or " Why are you only taking one kid?"... I am taking one kid because only one can sit on my lap in the plane and because Cody will be home (Grammie Sha Sha is coming up that weekend to help) to watch one! I am bringing Parker because he is a big time momma's boy right now! (Kaylie and I will have our girls trip one day:))

Well, got two kids crying to get out of their jumperoos, so i'll update more later!

Our 1st Anniversary!!

A year ago today I married the most amazing man in the world... HAPPY FIRST ANNIVERSARY HONEY!! I love you! *Wednesday we are going to eat at Reunion Tower (the ball in downtown) to celebrate!



Today I took a few pics of the kids in "matching" outfits... trying to get a few good pics for a Father's day project I'm working on:) This is the best one I came up with... I will post some of the out-takes tomorrow...pretty funny trying to get two 8 month olds to look at you at the same time!


Here are the kids taking a "big kid" bath! (notice how the toys are placed so strategically..haha) They LOVE sitting up in the bath and playing with toys... yesterday they were getting so bored at home that I put them in the tub and let them splash around for about 30 mins!:)

OK OK... I know I say this everytime they turn a month older... BUT OH MY GOSH... are they seriously already 8 months old?? Its insane to think that they have grown up so fast... Here are a few things going on around here now:

*yesterday I had to lower their mattresses in their cribs because Parker has figured out how to pull up to his knees.

*Parker is "crawling" backwards and gets so mad when he gets stuck.

* Kaylie still isn't completely sure if she likes baby food yet, she only eats it when she feels like it:)

*They love to go run errands and be out and about... hmmm... wonder where they got that from;)

I guess that's really about it for now... I gotta run get dressed for my first Mom's night out!!

Well, they both decided they didn't want to nap, when I
wanted them to nap... so I let them play in Parker's crib for a bit...

I had put my camera up, but then decided I wanted to take a

few more pics, so I left the room for 20 seconds... when I came

back this is what I saw... FIRST TIME PULLING UP!! Let the

games begin... then I saw this.....

... oh yes, he has found a new teething toy.. LOVELY!!!

So, yeah that's my little angel growing up too fast... So now on to Kaylie... Today we went to StrollerFit and at the end when we do the ab portion of the workout, everyone gets their kids out of the strollers and they all play... so today a little girl came over to play with Kaylie's toys... and what does she do?? She tries to pull the little girl to the ground by her skirt!! Then another little girl comes over and sits down to play with the toys and Kaylie proceeds to try and rip her hair out!!! Ohhh the times to come.... haha!

Really nothing else to report around here... Grammie Sha Sha came up this weekend to help Cody watch the babies while I was in Houston! She had a blast hanging out with her grandbabies:) Other than that, we have just been going to StrollerFit everyday and just hanging out, enjoying this summer weather!
