Organizing and Workouts!

Such a big girl and big boy!!! I cant believe how
big they are getting!

The title of this post is nothing more then what I am going to attempt to do and keep up with it! I have been organizing (ie. turning the dining room into the play room, cleaning out closets, etc) for about 2 weeks now, but it is all finally (somewhat) coming together! Now the working out part is something I decided today that I need to get back into doing:( I have lost all my pregancy weight, just need to tone up these abs and legs...haha! Good news is... the lady I work for has a fully-equipped gym in her house that she is going to let me use while Dylan does his homework... Now that I have the gym, I just have to actually do it:) I think just the thought of having to get in a swimsuit this summer to take the kids swimming will be enough motivation!!!

Well, Kaylie and Parker are doing great! They are going to sleep at 7p and (maybe waking once) sleeping until 7a. (Soooo glad the first 6 weeks of being up every 2 hours have passed...haha!) The picture above was taken today...ENJOY!

OK, so I thought we didn't get any good pics from the photo shoot we did last Friday (by the lady that I heard about through my mom's of multiples group trying to expand her portfolio!) BUT I was wrong... we got a few really cute ones of my precious babies:) Here they are:

This weekend was pretty lazy, which was great because we are always on the go:) Saturday I went and watched Jean Marie's girls (the girls I used to nanny for, now they are like my little sisters!) We went to the Dallas World Aquarium and California pizza kitchen! Cody watched the kiddos all day on Saturday.... everyone was in one piece when I got home...hahah! Sunday, we just hung out at the house. We took the kids to Cristina's Mexican restaurant for lunch with us and they were perfect... Ok, well Kaylie was asleep the whole time and Parker sat and my lap just smiling at everyone! He is such a ham!

Let's see... I know there are new things they are doing now that I haven't posted...Parker can now roll from his tummy to his back, Kaylie is extremely close to rolling from her back to her tummy, Parker has discovered he can gargle his spit and does it non-stop...haha..., when they see each other they smile so big, when they are on the floor next to each other they (somehow) scootch closer and hold hands (soooo cute!) and they are both addicted to Baby Einstein DVD's!

Well, no big plans today just hanging at the house then work then THE BACHELOR!!! I know I swore I wouldn't watch it anymore since Jill was kicked off last week, but I just cant resist...

Well, its offical... Parker is the first to roll from his tummy to his back and the first to hold his head up and prop himself up with this arms while he is on his belly! Kaylie can finally do it too, but his first time was yesterday and hers was today:) Sister is ALMOST ( I mean like really close) to rolling from her back to her tummy! ( I give her a week and she will be flippin and floppin) Also, I have gotten the jumperoo out of the attic and they both love it! Neither one know that they are suppose to jump in it, but they love to sit in it and look around... Parker's feet don't even touch the ground...haha!

Oh yeah, so today we went and had some pictures taken on the kiddos... Someone in my mom of multiples group told me about this lady and how she is trying to add to her portfolio and that she was looking to take pics of twins... so I jumped on it! (and it was FREE which made it even better!) Anyways, we get to the lady's house and she is really nice and the kids did good for about 10 minutes... then all hell broke loose! haha... they were sooo tired and just weren't having it anymore! I have no idea if there is even one good picture, but atleast we tried:) When we got home and they woke up from their nap I did my own photoshoot with them because I just couldn't let those adorable outfits go to waste...haha! (The pics above are the ones I took!)

Hmmm... well I guess there is nothing else going on here... tomorrow I am helping Jean Marie out with her girls while she is out of town, so Cody will be at home all day with the babies!:) I will report tomorrow on how he does:)

Saturday: Before we headed down to Rosenburg for my uncle Geoff's surprise 50th birthday party (first time my side of the family got to meet the babies!), we stopped by Meg's parents house for a few hours to play:)

We had a long, fun weekend.... but we are happy to be back home:) We crammed in Cody's car for our adventure, needless to say.... WE NEED A BIGGER CAR!! haha... Well, nothing else is really going on here... the pics above are from our weekend!

4 Month Check-up Stats!!!

DRUM ROLL PLEASE..... We have 2 big healthy babies! Here are the numbers:

KAYLIE:

Weight- 15 lbs 11 oz (90 percentile)

Length- 26 1/4 in (95 percentile)

Head- 16 3/4 in (65 percentile)

PARKER:

Weight- 14 lbs (25 percentile)

Length- 25 in (50 percentile)

Head- 17 1/8 in (75 percentile)

Kaylie is still bigger and probably will be until Parker hits puberty...haha! Anyways, they also had their shots today (no fun!!), but they took them like champs:) Doc said everything looks great and they are developmentally on the right track! Well, I have to get back to packing... we are going out of town this weekend!

PS: The pics above were taken yesterday when I was playing dress up with them again... plus, I wanted to surprise Cody and send them to him at work! (He is the biggest die hard aggie!) Oh, and don't worry I will make sure thats the only time my daughter is in an Aggie outfit;) jk!

Wow, are they seriously already 4 months old!?! How time flies.... Today after their morning nap we played dress up:) My cousin gave me these outfits at a baby shower... they're so cute! Anyways, nothing really happening around here today just hanging out:) Enjoy the pics!

Don't worry I didn't forget about the blog...

I think this is the longest I have gone without writing... let me explain why!:) Friday, the kids and I went to Jean Marie's house for most of the day to hang out with her and the girls... by the time I got home with 2 hungry, tired, fussy babies I was exhausted! Saturday, I really have no good excuse because all I did all day was lounge around the house... Sunday, Cody and I went to church and Costco while mom watched the kiddos. When we got back mom (who had a severely sharp pain in the middle of her head on Saturday that never went away) was in such pain I took her to the ER. She never complains about anything being hurt so I knew I had to take her when she was basically in tears:( Anyways, they did 2 cat scans on her brain and a spinal tap to make sure there was no blood in her spinal fluid (possibly from an annerisum (sp?)) All of the tests came back good, so we are still unsure of what is causing her the pain, but she will follow up with a neurologist if the pain stays! So after 6 hours in the ER, I was up all night with a sick baby:( Parker was so stopped up that he couldn't breathe when he was laying flat, so it kept him (and I) up all night! I took him to the doc today just to make sure it wasn't anything serious... and it's NOT so we are happy about that! But it still breaks my heart to see him all conjested, struggling to breathe.

So yeah that pretty much tells the story of why I have been too exhausted to blog:) Sorry I have no pics today... maybe tomorrow for their 4 month birthday!! (WOW has it really been 4 months already?!?) Well, I need to go relax!

Seriously, who gets excited over buying a new stroller!?! ME..... Yesterday, I was looking around on Craiglist (where I buy a ton of baby stuff) and came across a Peg Perego side-by-side double stroller:) I have been looking for a double stroller thats light weight and has a tray for each kid... For those of you who don't know what a Peg Perego stroller is, they are pretty expensive... in a store I would have paid close to $400 for a brand new one... the one I bought was $100 and in perfect condition with the owners manuel! Gotta love a great deal!!!:) Now I just cant wait to use it!



Also, I must report that Kaylie now offically holds the record for longest night of sleep... She was so cranky last night about 6:30p so I put her to bed (in the back of my mind thinking its too early to put her to bed)... She didn't make a peep of noise until 7am this morning!! 12 and 1/2 hours!! WAAAHOOO...

Today will probably just be another lazy day at home... ENJOY!

Setting new records:)

For all of you wondering how I feed two at once
by myself... this should tell it all:)

Last night Parker set a personal best sleeping record...he slept for 9 and half hours...waahhhooo! His previous best was 7 hours! Kaylie is still sleeping about 9 hours... then obviously they get up eat and go right back to bed:) Also, yesterday I got both of them to nap in their cribs for a 2 and a half hour period!! I think we are finally getting somewhere...its not always easy for them to fall asleep in their crib during the day, but I let them cry for about 10 to 15 mins and they are out! I have been trying to keep a journal of what their schedule is during the day (food amounts, sleep, awake time, activities, etc) so I can figure out how much they are eating and how to get them on a set nap schedule! I know it sounds obsessive, but when you are trying to manage two and keep your sanity it's not easy! haha

Last night I had to work until about 8pm, so I have to give a shout out to the hubby for having both kids fed, changed and asleep before I got home! Usually I home by 7ish so I can help, but he did an awesome job by himself! (Now that I know he can do it all alone... maybe I'll start having girls nights...haha!)

After failed attempts to bring the kids to the Superbowl Party with us... I am now sitting on the couch watching the Superbowl by myself...haha! We went to a party 2 blocks away... needless to say the kids lasted about an hour and half before they had a complete meltdown! (Totally Exhausted!!) We pushed them in the stroller down to their house, so it was no big deal, I just pushed them right back:) Cody decided to stay down there watch the game with his boys! (Fine with me... didn't have to listen to all the hoopin and hollarin'...haha!) So the kids are finally asleep and Buddy and I are sitting on the couch together soakin up the Superbowl!
