Happy 6 Month Birthday My Sweet Angels:)

6 months ago... my loves!

6 Month old pics!
Their "My twins did it" onesies that
Cody's Aunt bought them... haha!

Sooooo sooooo sweet!

There's my sweet girl laughing:)

Ok, seriously, someone pinch me? There is NO way my sweet little cherub babies could already be 6 months old?!? CRRRAAZZZYYY! It seriously feels like just yesterday that the nurse at the hospital was knocking on my hospital room door in the middle of the night saying "Its the nursery, Time to feed!" Oh how I DO NOT miss those first few months of 'up-all-nights':)

Anyways, today we had their 6 month check up (which was MISERABLE, but I will get to that later!) and they are both healthy as can be:) Here are the stats:

KAYLIE:
Height- 28 1/2in (above 95th percentile)
Weight- 18.8 lbs (90th percentile)
Head- 17 1/2in (90th percentile)

PARKER:
Height- 28 in (90th percentile)
Weight- 16.10 lbs (30th percentile)
Head- 18in (90th percentile)

I always love going to see how much they weight and how tall they are:) BUT what I don't like is when it takes an hour and a half for their appt (we were in the room for that long!!).... seriously, we were in a 10ft X 5ft hot room with no windows, 2 kids screaming from pure exhausting and starvation, and nurses who were taking their sweet time to come in and give them their shots!! It was awful... Cody and I were about to go nuts!

Let's see... what else is new around here? Parker now has a list of 5 foods he likes to eat...Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Apple Sauce, Bananas, and Prunes (but those are only eaten when he needs a good cleansing..haha)... He loves his baby food! Kaylie is ALMOST sitting up by herself, I give her about 2 weeks and she will have it down! Oh yeah, Parker has now managed to turn himself sideways in his crib and get stuck (width way)...He hasn't figured out yet how to get himself out of it, so we are constantly running in to save him:)

Well, I guess that about all for now... Kids are asleep and I am going to relax and read my magazine!!

Easter Bunny Fun!!

He was cracking up at mom! So cute...

I think Kaylie is finally starting to smile:)

Sleepy boy fell right asleep in Mimi's arms!

Oh sweet dog Buddy.... craves attention!!

Sister playing on the blanket

My big, most handsome guy!

Seriously, if everyone were this happy
the world would be a great place!:)

Today, Mom and I decided to take the kids to see the Easter Bunny.... i just knew Parker would smile and Kaylie would scream, but I was wrong (for the first time in my life..jk!)... Parker smiled like I expected, but so did Kaylie! I was shocked... she actually smiles at a complete stranger (the teenager taking the pictures!) I have been trying to post the pic of it but since I scanned it on the computer I can't get it to work for some reason... It seriously is the cutest 'easter bunny mall' pic ever! I know it sounds a little biased but seriously sooooo freakin cute! (I will try an post it sometime this week)

Other then seeing the Easter bunny it has been a pretty uneventful weekend! It was good to get out of the house today though... the kids love their 'big kid' stroller better then the double snap n' go (the one you just snap their car seats into) because the LOVE to look around at everything... They did so good at the mall today...I think the stroller change made a huge difference!

That's about all here... the pics above are just a few pics we took today! ENJOY!

Schedule, Spring and Random things...

OK, I know this is totally ridiculous just to walking
around the block, but I couldn't resist!!

See... she really does smile!! She LOVES her
jumperoo!

My sweet little tomboy

Smiley little man trying on his new hat!

Daddy with his sweet booger bears! (We have way
to many nicknames!! haha)

Well, I have to start off by saying that I am EXTREMELY jealous that Cody is at the Final Four in Detroit (on the first deck!)... But at the same time glad he got a chance to go experience at least once in his lifetime:)

Mom, Kaylie, Parker and I have just been hanging out around the house.... doing nothing really, except working on the kiddos schedule:) Oh yeah, I did go to a HUGE 'garage sale' today and bought some great things (4 pair of shorts for Parker, a shirt for him, 2 outfits for Kaylie, 10 books, 2 fun toys, and some blocks!) Meredith went with me... thank the lord because there was a million people there and seriously people were dragging around suitcases and filling them up! It was a ZOO! I got some great deals so it was definitely worth it!
Anyways, so back to the kiddos schedule... let me just let everyone know what a day in the life of me entails:

6:30-7:00a Kaylie and Parker wake up
7:30a- K- 6oz bottle, P 4oz bottle and 1/2 jar of apple sauce
8:15-10:15a NAP TIME
10:30a- K and P 6oz bottles
11:45a-12:30p- Cat nap (working on cutting this nap out:))
1:30p-K 6 oz bottle, P4oz bottle and 1/2 jar fruit or veggie
2:30- 4:30 NAP TIME
4:30- K and P 6oz bottle
6:30-7:00p- Bottle/ Bed

So obviously everyday varies a tad but not too much... When they aren't eating or sleeping I am doing everything in my power to keep them happy! (Usually making a complete fool out of myself..haha!) I am trying to get them out of taking that middle cat nap because this summer I am going to want to go do stuff during the day! Also, don't think I have been depriving Kaylie of solids... she refuses to eat them!! She will kind of try, but then spits it out... Parker on the other hand LOVES his apple sauce and bananas... But I figure she is growing at a good rate so I'm really not too concerned about it... its also much easier feeding one solids then trying to force feed 2 at once:) So what you can see by the schedule they are on is that ITS A FULL-TIME JOB!!! But I LOVE it and wouldn't change anything... I am truly blessed to be able to stay home with my sweet angels!

Well, the babies are asleep and I am beat so I better push 'publish' and head to bed!

One year ago today...

....this is what we saw!!!

Seriously!?! Has it really been a year since we found out about our bundles of joy? I remember that day like it was yesterday...

I didn't have a doctor in the Frisco area, and it just so happened that the lady that I worked for at the time was pregnant, so she introduced me to her doctor (Dr. Farrow)... I didn't have an appt that day, but Benita (the lady I worked for) had called Dr. Farrow and told her the situation adn Dr. Farrow just told her that I should just come with her and her husband to their appt... So there we were sitting in the waiting room of the doctors office...Mike (Benita's husband), Benita, Cody and I! Cody was a nervous as could be (leg shaking, heart racing, etc.). I was just nervous because I had done 5 home pregnancy tests (yes, I know kind of ridiculous) that all came up positive, so at this point I am just hoping to hear a heart beat.

Sooooo... the long wait had come to an end, they called out my name to go back for a sonogram (Mike and Benita were already 1/2 way through their appt)... Cody and I walked through the hall and into the sonogram room... seriously we were freaking out just knowing I was pregnant, we had no clue about the news we were about to receive! So, the nurse starts the sonogram and starts making small talk with us about ours families and us, etc. Well then she proceeds to ask us if twins run in our family (both of us just thought it was small talk still....but OH NO she had a legitimate reason to be asking this!) She moved the sonogram wand around a little bit and low and behold there were TWO little bean shaped creatures in there! You talk about a surprise, that's a surprise! When she said twins we were both in total shock... Cody basically fainted, the water bottle he was holding fell to the floor as he fell against the wall before the nurse made him sit on the stool! I was in such shock that I couldn't even utter a word... my mouth basically just dropped to the floor! Of course as soon as we realized that there REALLY were two, we started calling everyone we know (from the sonogram room, we hadn't even met Dr. Farrow yet!) First we called our moms and they thought we were playing a late April fools joke on them..haha!

Once we left the sonogram room with our pics in hand, the first people we see are Mike and Benita... Mike said the look on Cody's face was priceless! Looked white as a ghost..haha! (Btw I was still speechless!!) We finally met Dr. Farrow for the first time and she probably thought we were a bunch of nuts! By the end of the appt I was SO happy that Benita introduced us Dr. Farrow... She is the best doctor ever! I wish I could have 5 more kids just so I could go see Dr. Farrow... OK maybe I exaggerated, but maybe one more:) (In 5 years!)

Now that I have given a play by play of the day we found out about the twins I must say... I WOULDN'T CHANGE IT FOR THE WORLD! I feel so blessed to be able to have two beautiful, happy, healthy babies... I really don't know what I would do if we only had one! (Well, maybe get more sleep...haha JK!)

Hope y'all enjoyed the story of the day our lives changed for the better:)

And here are the little 'bean creatures' now!!

The triplets! Buddy watching over his brother

and sister:)

Brotherly, Sisterly love! (Kaylie is kind of smiling!!)

While daddy was gone....

Us in the car watching Will play tennis!

I bought sister a new bikini and I was dying
for her to try it on:) So cute!

Funniest picture of my little guy... he was
so happy to be outside!

Kaylie loved her hat and shades...actually
I think she just liked being outside!

HILARIOUS!!!

My sweet little guys and me:)

Parker in his new tube toy!!

What an event-filled weekend we had!! Just me, mom, and the kiddos! (Cody was in Bryan for a wedding!)... Saturday we went to my Mom's of Multiples group garage sale.... they had such great stuff! I bought a ton of sleepers for 50 cents!! I am the ultimate bargain shopper, I hate buying baby clothes new unless I just have to... they only wear them for 2 months at the max! So anyways, I also bought a new bath tub thing... more like a little innertube they just lay in... kaylie loves it because she has figured out how to kick water and splash it all over the bathroom! I love garage sales!! After the garage sale we went to Richardson and saw Uncle Will playing tennis... it was 30 degrees outside so we just sat in the car, but Will was so happy to see his niece and nephew.
Then today... where do I begin? Well, I have been wanting to landscape the front of the house because it has looked horrendous for the past year and never got around to doing it... so this morning I woke up went to Lowes got me a little shovel and rake and mom and I got to work! (mind you, all while we watched the kiddos...good thing they took a 3 hour nap this afternoon so we could finish!) When I say we re-landscaped, I mean we RE- landscaped. Ripped out 3/4 of the shrubs, remulched the entire bed, and planted new flowers! I am so happy we just got a wild hair and did it because it makes the house look so much better... and on top of that Kaylie and Parker love being outside, so they didnt mind watching us in their chairs:)
So if you can only imagine, after 6 hours of some serious yard work I am completely exhausted!!!

PS: Saturday it was 30 degrees and today it was 75! Gotta love this Texas weather!

New happenings...

They are loving laying on a blanket surrounded in
toys... today they were fighting over the thing
Kaylie has... it was hilarious! (they were playing tug-a-war
with it!)

Kaylie in her big girl chair! She loves being
able to look around!

Parker loving his new high chair!

My "babies" are growing up wwaaaaayyy too fast!

Well, here are a few new pics we took yesterday and today! I started feeding them apple sauce and bananas in their highchairs. Parker does great with the spoon, but Kaylie still isnt too sure about it! (She is just a little lazier and wants the easy way out...aka: a bottle!) Anyways, they have offically outgrown their play mat... they would much rather be laying on a big blanket rolling around in all their toys!

No big plans this weekend... Cody will be in Bryan for a wedding, but I am staying home with the kids. Mom is coming over to help:) I think we are going to take the kids to my mom of multiples garage sale, then Will is in town for a tennis tourney, so we will go by there and see him play. Saturday night I am going to Meredith and Allen's house for Allen's bday party... other than that nothing really going on this weekend, just going to enjoy being with the kiddos!

Post more later this weekend!

Home Sweet Home!!!

Kaylie with her new purse and rabbit ears!

The kiddos took over our bed while we were gone!

Cody and I in front of the Wynn in Vegas!

Adam, Jen, Cody and I in front of Ceasar's Palace!

Cody and I on the strip!
Well we are back to reality...and I would take it any day over Vegas! Don't get me wrong, we had a blast in Vegas, but I couldn't wait to get back to see the kiddos!! I can't believe how much they changed while we were gone... While we were gone they both rolled over for the first time and now its their favorite thing to do, Kaylie grabs onto her feet all the time now, and Parker is still smiley as can be! I know the grandmas and great grandma had a great time watching the babies... THANKS GRANDMAS!!
Our trip was a much needed vacation... it was so nice to get away and get a FULL nights sleep for a few days... We should have known our luck was bad when we first arrived at the airport... we were checking our bag (only brought one, thinking it would be cheaper then having to pay for 2 bags!), well we out the bag on the scale and it was 68 POUNDS!! hahaha... we were 18 lbs over the weight limit... so needless to say we were too cheap to pay the extra $50 so I carried literally HALF of the clothes that were in the bag in my hands through security until I could get to a store to ask for a plastic bag to put it all in.... Cody was sooo embarassed!! haha... so thats how the trip started! Our favorite card game is 3 card poker, but its not very fun to play when you arent winning!!!:( Oh well, its Vegas right? You can't expect to come home a millionaire!!
So anyways, we had a great time, but we are both happy to be home! Well, I just heard the little angels getting up from their nap... I will update more tomorrow!
